Learn about using e-portfolios

Join us for one of a series of regional e-portfolio seminars with Axia Interactive, providers of the endorsed e-portfolio NVQnow.
You will learn about City & Guilds policy on e-portfolios and learn about how an e-portfolio can reduce the time taken to assess and verify candidates' work.

Brand new support to help you through QCF changes

We've just added a brand new discussion forum to the profile of all tutors subscribed to SmartScreen materials.

It is the ideal way for tutors to share knowledge and advice with the thousands of other tutors that visit SmartScreen, as well as asking our resident QCF expert, Chris Kirk, any questions they may have.

We believe that the forum will be a great resource for tutors to support them through the QCF changes.  So if you are subscribed to SmartScreen why don’t you logon and get the ball rolling!

Coming in Spring 09…NVQ Level 2 Cleaning and Support Services Candidate Logbook (7698)

Written by City & Guilds experts and is full of colourful, inspirational content.  Due to direct feedback from learners we’ve included:

Who is the qualification aimed at?
Learners who are working, or training to work in industries that involve wetwork and/or working with substances/chemicals that may cause skin irritation or an allergic reaction, for example, hairdressing and barbering, beauty therapy and nail industry, catering (food preparation, meat processing, fish processing), cleaners.

Free online support on SmartScreen for the Leadership and Management for Care Services (3078) NVQ

From 5 December 2008, all City & Guilds centres approved to offer our Leadership and Management for Care Services NVQ will have access to free online support materials on SmartScreen for tutors delivering and learners studying this new NVQ.  Access will be given upon registration of their first candidates.

Materials include handouts, case studies, activities, qualification information, presentations, a tutor forum and much much more. 

Centres that they will be given access to the support materials upon registration of their first candidates.

We are delighted to be able to help!  AQA-City & Guilds are busy creating a student handbook for the Level 2 Diploma in Creative and Media which will be published in November 08. 

In the meantime, we have published the first completed unit on our website at http://www.diplomainfo.co.uk/creative-and-media.asp which is now available for your learners to view and download.  We will continue to add units to the site as they are completed. 

How will the handbook help learners?
The handbook takes students through the Diploma unit by unit, clearly explaining what they need to do with a fun, modern and engaging approach and provides lots of inspiration along the way.
