Amendments to the Working with Substance Misuse fast-track form
To clarify the position of occupationally competent assessors, the following text has been added to the Fast track form (doc 0.20mb).
In this first instance fast track qualification approval may be given to existing approved centre assessors with relevant but not necessarily direct experience in a substance misuse setting. This is an interim arrangement which cannot be extended beyond 18 months. After the 18 month cut off, continued qualification approval will be dependent on all assessors being occupationally competent in substance misuse practice. At this time EVs will need to be provided with evidence of assessor competence so that continued qualification approval may be recommended.
Amendments to the Working with Substance Misuse qualification handbook
The current version of the handbook is undergoing amendments to the referencing of level and credit values, in the meantime please refer to appendix A in the handbook (pdf 1.94mb) which has the correct level and credit values for all the units.
